As services begin to build up, here is a bit of inside information about what we offer.
A common issue with a caravan of any age is when the Bowden Cables rub on the chassis. Bowden Cables are sheathed cable (similar to bicycle brake cable) which physically pull the brakes on or off. They are situated through access holes in the chassis, and if not perfectly seated they can rub. The only way to cure this is to fit sacrificial hose around the brake cable. The sheathing usually lasts 4-5 years, but the cost difference is vastly different. An axle set of Bowden Cables can cost up to £100 fitted, compared to the sheathing which costs just £2.50 per axle set fitted. When needed on a running gear, we fit the sheathing as standard.
